In this vast universe, greediness is the word to describe the inhabitants of the planet, EARTH. In order to be better than the others, people fight for almost everything. Competition has become rampant. While trying to be at the top, many have neglected the surroundings, family and friend soon turned to become enemy. Little or no time is being spent at home. No one bothers about feelings anymore. Selfishness, has taken the heart and soul away from the human beings, leaving them with an empty shell in which they function in. The brain thinks of more ways to get money rolling into pockets. The legs bring them to places where money is being earned. Everyone has to be busy, anyone found free is deemed to be useless. Who dares to slow down their pace of living to reflect on the many things in which they have unknowingly lost. Friends have become like the wind that come and go as the time passes. Many only regret that not enough time was spent with their loved ones until they eventually lose them. After feeling remorseful and awoken by their own greediness, they try to make amendments but to no avail. Some things that are being lost can never be retrieved. As time passes, the wound fades away and the individual reverts back to the greedy creature, fitting into the society again. The materialistic world and its drastic change it has caused on the inhabitants. Many wars are being fought, be it on a large scale or not. People are being massacred. This is an ongoing process. The fight will continue as their needs cannot be satisfied. Be it for the oil that drives the world, the food in which has to be consumed, the discrimination in which some faces, the reason just continues. If you’re fine, it just means it’s not occurring there. That’s not all. Greediness also leads to the destruction of the poor little tiny planet if ours. What used to be a beautiful sight is now gone and has turned into many monstrous money making machines. Controlled by the notorious and conceited inhabitants, it has churned out hundreds (or maybe thousands) folds of what used to be waste and pollution. The greediness of them has led to the death and of course, the extinction of many flora and fauna. In the near future, the planet will experience an ‘ICE AGE” as projected by the day after tomorrow. The world is unfair? Think again.
